Being Muslim we all feel proud to follow the sunnah of our beloved prophet. When we talk about making home and family, Allah Pak stated this relationship in Quran in these words; “And we created you in pairs.” Marriage (NIkkah) is sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and he (PBUH) suggested Sahabah to marry. “No love between two souls is greater than what is between the spouses.” (Tafsir Ibn Kathir 3/525) Allah loves those Muslim Couples who have good intimate relationship and love with each other. As it is mentioned In Quran;
“They are as a garment to you and you are as a garment to them.” (2:187)
Getting married does not mean you are getting a partner just to satisfy your sexual needs, it means you are getting your whole world. You partner would not just share your moments, but your whole life, sorrows, happiness, success, failure, feelings, fears and dreams. He or she will live each moment of your life with you. Just like your garments that cover your body to protect you, spouses are made to protect and help each other. Here are a few easy ways for Muslim couples to preserve love between their matrimonial relationships and to seek pleasure of Allah.
• The first thing that maintains love in your relationship is praying together. It not only brings mercy but also the bounties of Allah almighty. Pray together at least two Raka’hs. It will work like magic and will bring your heart close.
• Recite Quran together however it would be only one Ayah.
• Say a Tasbeeh of Zikr (Alhamdulillah). This will please Allah almighty and He will shower His more blessings on your couple. He will reward you mental peace and satisfaction.
• Say Dua together and wish for the happiness of each other and your family.
• And last but not the least Muslim couples should try to understand feelings of each other and fulfill sexual needs of each other as well.
